Job Description
The successful candidate will perform the following tasks in support
of the Oracle Databases installed in conjunction with Peoplesoft
HRMS as well as other applications.Candidate must have excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform database administration functions in support of Oracle
databases
- Assist primary database administrator and provide backup in their
absence
- Manage tablespaces, perform database performance monitoring and
tuning
- Perform backup, recovery, import/export, rollback and ensure database
integrity
- Create new databases as required in support of new applications
Qualifications
- Two years experience as Oracle DBA with Oracle v8
- Experience with WinNT, and UNIX or AIX
- Experience with Oracle Tools and Utilities
- Familiarity with Networks, NT Server and TCP/IP Concepts
Desireable Skills
- Experience in a Peoplesoft HRMS Application Environment
