Job Description

The successful candidate requires experince in analysis, design, development, and testing of Energy Management Applications using Oracle RDBMS and Sun Solaris. Experience in ABB’s Generation Information Management Systems(GIMS) is preferred. Job requires supporting Generation Planning and Optimization group of Energy Trading; gathering requirements, working with the vendor to resolve issues and fix problems; data loading, analysis and corrections. Possibility for permenant placement opportunity. 24X7 on-call support is a requirement. Previous DTE experience is a plus

Responsibilities

-Gathers information, analyzes, designs, recommends and implements solutions in area of responsibility. Identifies/utilizes appropriate tools.
-Able to work as a team member, and utilize team building skills on multiple teams. Able to support multiple internal clients.
-Provides planning and time estimates for assignments
-Under general supervision provides work direction to others, is self-directed. Works toward certification in areas of expertise, when available.
-Strong organizational skills. Good oral/written communications skills and assists with formal and informal presentations.
