UNIX/SUN SOLARIS ADMINISTRATION & SUPPORT

Job Description

The successful candidate will work in support of a large-scale Unix/Sun Solaris environment consisting of HP, Sun and Alpha Servers. The applications run on a Oracle relational database and utilize MS/Office products and tools.

Responsibilities

- Install and Administer UNIX Application/Database Servers
- Evaluate Administrative Tools to support Data Center Operations
- Continuous support to User, Operations and Production Control Groups
- Documentation of Procedures, Standards
- Developing, executing and managing Projects using standard project management tools
- Be willing to perform on-call duties during weekends and off hours on a rotational basis

Qualifications

- Experience in supporting large-scale Database Applications on the UNIX Platform
- Ability to troubleshoot applications
- In depth knowledge of Tru64 UNIX/SUN Solaris/HP UX system administrations
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of Oracle Database applications
- Ability to work as a project team member and technical lead
- Must possess a "Can do" customer oriented attitude

Desireable Skills

- Familiarity with Storage Area Networks(SAN) usage
