NETWORK ENGINEER

Job Description

Compass Consulting Enterprises, Inc. is accepting applications for Network Engineers in Detroit, Michigan. Duties include installation, configuration and support of PC Networks with NT/2000 and Novell Servers. Successful applicant will have 4 or more years of technical experience troubleshooting and supporting PC hardware and desktop applications and computer networks. Individual should be motivated and self-directing with excellent diagnostic ability, interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure and support Windows NT/2000 and Novell File Servers
- Install and configure network printers and assign rights
- Install and configure server software (ie. Arcserve, Norton AV, etc.)
- Perform problem determination on network and network attached devices

Qualifications

- Experience configuring servers with Windows NT/2000 and Novell
- Experience configuring DHCP, DNS, IIS, etc.
- MCSE in Windows 2000 required
- Compaq Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) required

Desireable Skills

- Novell CNE Certification
